In 1961 the first Barolos were bottled. The current "1961" Barolo is therefore connected to this vineyard, where these old vines still stand. At the moment the company is led by Marco Oberto. He is the fifth generation in the company.
The passion for the terroir has led to the production of wines that stand the test of time, regardless of passing trends. Ciabot Berton believes in a productive approach where the tradition and experience of five generations merge with innovation.
Ecological sustainability is a top priority. Many techniques used in organic farming are also used by Ciabot Berton. Each vineyard is assessed separately and the cultivation of the vineyard is therefore in line with the needs of the vineyard.
The vineyards of Ciabot Berton are all located in the prestigious crus of La Morra. The different plots of land are vinified separately, in order to fully emphasize the personality of the terroir.
In total, Ciabot Berton has 14 hectares of vineyards, all located in the La Morra Crus.
Attention to quality and dedication result in elegant Barolos, which have the ability to age wonderfully.
