Brezza Giacomo e Figli since 1885 - Brezza - Municipality of Barolo
Brezza is one of those estates where you immediately feel that Barolo is not a trend, but a life's work. The family has owned vineyards in Barolo since 1885 and bottled its first wine around 1910. The house is still located close to the village of Barolo, nestled among its own vineyards, and thus exudes precisely what makes great Barolo so special: provenance, tranquility, and continuity.
What makes Brezza so attractive to enthusiasts is the combination of classic depth and pure precision. The estate is currently run by the fourth generation and is organically certified. In the vineyard, care for the soil and plants is central, including composting, green fertilization, and manual harvesting. In the cellar, Brezza opts for a controlled, traditional approach, with aging taking place in large Slavonian oak botti. This yields wines with finesse, tension, and a very distinct sense of place.
Brezza's strength lies in the fact that it does not want to produce "engineered" Barolos, but wines that allow the character of the grape and terroir to speak. The estate covers 31 hectares, of which 20 hectares are vineyards, and exclusively uses grapes from its own property. You can taste this in the purity and reliability of the style: honest, refined, and always rooted in the Langhe.
For our customers, Brezza is therefore a name with extra appeal. This is not an anonymous winery, but a historic family business that has shown for generations how beautiful traditional Barolo can be when craftsmanship, terroir, and patience come together. Brezza makes wines for enthusiasts who are not looking for effect, but for authenticity, elegance, and a bottle with a story.
