Product information

Best price/quality 93/100 points Brunello

Intense ruby red wine with garnet reflections. In the nose intense aromas of ripe red fruit and Mediterranean herbs. In the mouth the wine is full, powerful, nicely balanced, fresh acids with a long lasting aftertaste and nice round tannins.

The vineyards are located in the Brunello DOCG. They are situated at an altitude between 280 and 320 meters above sea level.

The grapes are picked by hand at the end of September / beginning of October after careful selection. After this, the grapes are gently pressed and undergo the fermentation process under a controlled temperature. The wine is matured in large Slavonian oak barrels. The wine is bottled after maturation. In the bottle, the wine refines for at least 6 months in the cellars of the domain.

About Sasso di Sole:
The family has always personally managed the production of the grapes, the vinification and the refinement of the wine to guarantee the highest quality in every bottle. With a view to the future without ever forgetting the past. Technological innovation and respect for traditions are the secrets to obtaining quality wines. Ten hectares of vineyards entirely cultivated with Sangiovese Grosso in the north-eastern part of Montalcino in the UNESCO park Val d'Orcia.
