The Cru Arione wines of Giacomo Conterno are always made in a classical way. Roberto still uses the principles of his grandfather Giovanni.

The wines are strict and firm, but at the same time never hard or over-concentrated. The Arione has always had a very great reputation. The wine is always elegant in style. Due to the southern location, the wines from Arione are a lot more powerful and weighty than the more elegant wines from Francia (more to the west)

The Cru Arione is one of the southernmost crus of Serralunga d'Alba. The exposure is south. The vineyard is situated at an altitude of around 340-430 meters. The soil type is mainly limestone.

To truly enjoy this “top Barolo” we advise you not to open it before 2030.
